Created by a fellow support group member
After four years of attending PAL, Emerald, Nar-Anon, The Insight Program, and Hopestream Community meetings, I wanted to give something back to the support community that has helped me through some of the hardest times in my life.
These meetings have given me a place to be heard, reminded me that I am not alone, and helped me learn from others facing similar struggles. Creating this free tool is one small way to say thank you and support the people who make that space possible.
Anyone is welcome to use this timer, free of charge, in any meeting where it is helpful.
People come before the clock. This is a gentle aid for facilitators, and the group’s needs and judgment always come first. Pause whenever someone needs more space.
Use it your group’s way. The four-minute target is a starting point, not a rule from any fellowship. Each group decides how to use the timer.
Who can use this?
Everyone is welcome, including facilitators of the following groups and programs, and any other support group or meeting. Listing a group does not imply that it uses or endorses this timer.
Privacy. The timer does not request names or record what anyone shares. Meeting settings and countdowns are handled in your browser. Your usual setup is saved in this browser on this device when storage is available. The hosting provider may retain standard access information.
In the spirit of anonymity that means so much in these meetings, I’ve chosen to leave my name off this tool. It’s simply a small thank-you from one parent to the community that has helped him.
